We have configured our network to see our 2nd ThinManager server as\u00a0PXE secondary server. After testing some of our terminals they succeeded in seeing and getting the image from our 2nd server.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, for balancing purposes Is there a way we can tell which ones are being assisted\u00a0by the primary and secondary server?<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The PXE boot process isn’t load balanced.\u00a0 For a synchronized pair of ThinManager servers all PXE requests will be replied to by the master server.\u00a0 If that server fails then the secondary will begin replying to PXE requests.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can check the boot server on the bottom of the properties tab for a selected terminal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We recently added a number of new client to our ThinManager system, however when we try to shadow these clients we see the error \u201cClient Connection aborted”. \u00a0<\/em>Is there anything that has been known to cause this issue or anything that I can get from the system which may further indicate as to what is causing this? Our existing clients work fine.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Are there any logs to check?<\/em><\/p>\n

It sounds like a network issue. \u00a0<\/strong>Make sure Windows Firewall is off or appropriately patched, and that\u00a0<\/strong>there are no hardware firewalls in the network.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have found that a new windows update KB2762895 has now made WinTMC<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<\/a>inoperable on my Windows 64 bit machine. \u00a0Is there a fix for this?<\/em><\/p>\n

We are experiencing an auto-synchronization is the issue, and had to turn off the auto-sync feature. \u00a0What user does the auto-synchronization use to access the other server?<\/em><\/p>\n

It uses the account that was specified for the service when ThinManager is initially installed. \u00a0You can check it by going to:<\/strong><\/div>\n
Administrative Tools > Services, finding ThinServer, right-click > properties, and then select the Log On tab. \u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
If a specific account isn’t specified it will use the local system account.<\/strong><\/div>\n
