How\u00a0compatible is ThinManager with Virtual Workstations. \u00a0Can I use the WinTMC or iTMC features in a virtualized\u00a0environment?<\/em><\/p>\n

Presently Virtual Workstations are only supported on traditional thin client terminals.\u00a0If you want a Terminal Server to be specifically configured as a Virtual Machine you have to use a thin client. You can specify the terminal server as a real, physical terminal server and it will work from either app.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are currently using the \u201cdrop down\u201d selector for switching between sessions.\u00a0 Our display clients are touchscreens (no keyboard\/mouse), so the drop down is the only option that works consistently on the touchscreen.\u00a0 The default location is the top of the screen in the center, but the top center location is not the most convenient.\u00a0 Is it possible to change the location of the selector?<\/em><\/div>\n

It is not possible to change the location of the selector. Instead try setting up tiling.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Assign multiple Display Clients to a single Terminal<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Proceed through the Terminal Configuration Wizard until you get to the Terminal Interface Options Page and select: Enable Tiling<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Go into Tiling Options and Check \u201cTile on right click (mouse or touchscreen)\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Go to the Modules Page for the terminal in question<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Go into the properties for your Touchscreen Module<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Change the \u201cRight Click Hold Time (milliseconds)\u201d Parameter from DISABLED to a numerical value listed in the Value dropdown.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Save your changes and reboot the Terminal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    The upgrade document has all the tips and tricks that you will need, but most importantly backup your configuration before upgrading.<\/strong><\/p>\n
