I am trying to set up a Redundant Pair of ThinManager Servers. But I got an error stating “Synchronization failed” when I was finishing the process. Can I redo it again ? Where can I see the Synchronization status?<\/em><\/p>\n

The Synchronization tab will show you your Synchronization Status. If you have Auto-Sync setup, ThinManager will automatically attempt to re-sync with it\u2019s peer. \u00a0<\/strong>You also need to assign multiple terminal servers to a display client for fail over to work. Once the session is unreachable on the terminal server, the clients will failover.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget to reboot the Terminal after you make the change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have ThinManager v3.1 installed on my terminal server. I recently added an Advantech UNO-1150 client and got a message that ThinManager couldn’t recognize it. Your Compatibility List shows it as a recognizable device. \u00a0Please advise.<\/em><\/p>\n

Most likely the UNO-1150 hadn\u2019t been added to the TermCap as of version 3.1. The 1150 is supported in ThinManager 6.0 SP4 \u2013 our latest release.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am having a type of a memory spike. When we activated a terminal by it self running a deployed app, the memory spiked to an insanely high value and stayed there. Any idea why this would happen?<\/em><\/p>\n

When a Terminal establishes a session on a Terminal Server, it launches the application(s) you specified as Display Clients. The launching of an application would cause a spike in system resources like what you saw. The only overhead from the ThinManager perspective is keeping an RDP session open.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clicking the \u201cResource Monitor\u201d button will launch the Windows Resource Monitor which should give you more information about what is taking up resources.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A colleague, has created a Master License and added the product license for a temporary virtualised installation of ThinManager at one of our sites. \u00a0<\/em>I am in the process of building the servers that this license was purchased for and need help re-assigning the license to the target installation. How can I change the Installation IDs associated with this license to match the true installation IDs on the target servers?<\/em><\/p>\n

You can reactivate the Master License and provide the new Installation IDs. Please see the following link for more details:
